Core team

Research Analyst

Hannah Brown

Hannah is a Research Analyst within our investor intelligence team. She focuses on bespoke research and lead generation. She is multilingual and was previously a Research Officer within the Brazil Institute at King’s College London. Hannah holds a Masters degree from Oxford in Latin American Studies and a first class degree in International Relations from King’s College London.
Financial Controller

Ranulf Gibson

Ranulf is the Financial Controller for Juniper Place. He is responsible for the finance operations of the company as well as contributing to the strategic direction of the business. He was previously the Financial Controller for a fast growing FMCG startup and prior to that had multiple finance roles within Thomson Reuters. Ranulf has a first class degree in Computer Science from the University of Exeter and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Founder & Executive Chairman

Paul Harvey

Paul is the Founder of Juniper Place, with 30 years of experience in Private Markets. Previously he was the Founder and CEO of the Multi-Manager division of GLG (now part of Man Group), ran EMEA Hedge Fund Sales and Capital Introductions at Citigroup and Morgan Stanley and was COO of an institutional hedge fund group.
Content & Communications

Emma Herring

Emma has more than 25 years’ experience in PR, communications and content management having initially trained as a journalist. Since 1995 she has worked as an independent consultant advising on PR, communications and content strategies. She has provided leading global companies and organisations with content for websites, intranets, corporate publications and marketing materials.

Nicole Jarillo

Nicole is a founding member of the Juniper Place team and has rapidly evolved as a key member of our placement team. She previously worked as an Investment Analyst for Private Equity International. Nicole has a degree in Economics from the University of Liverpool and is a CAIA charter holder.
Strategic Advisor

Jamie Kermisch

Jamie is a Strategic Advisor to Juniper Place providing clients with strategic and operational solutions and advice. He is the former CEO of alternative asset manager Tages Capital and has over 30 years of financial services experience including C-suite/Partner level positions at leading asset managers and investment banks including Fauchier Partners, Morgan Stanley, CSFB, ING Barings and Mariana Investment Partners.
Head of Liquid Alternatives

Oystein Mathisen

Oystein is a capital raising specialist and a senior member of our placement team. He focuses on European institutional investors predominantly for liquid alternative strategies. He previously held senior business development and investor relations roles at Kestral Investment Partners, Roxbury Asset Management and Aros Capital Partners.
Chief Executive Officer

Mark Robinson

Mark was appointed CEO of Juniper Place in June 2021. He spent the previous 20 years working for Citi. Most recently he was Head of Equity Distribution responsible for Citi’s Institutional client business in EMEA. As part of this role, he was responsible for Sales and Execution teams across the region. From December 2019, Mark worked as a consultant and adviser on various fintech related projects and is a Senior Advisor to The Growth Stage. Mark has been a strategic consultant to Juniper Place since October 2020.
Vice President

Daniel Watson

Daniel leads the investor intelligence team and is focused predominantly on client relationships, technology and content development. He was previously a Research Analyst at the Institut Albert J. Jovell in Catalunya. Daniel has Masters in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics, and a first class degree in Politics and Spanish from the University of Bristol. He holds the CAIA Fundamentals of Alternatives certificate.
Research Analyst

Ally Wise

Ally is a Research Analyst within our investor intelligence team. She focuses on global investor research and lead generation for clients. She has prior experience in wealth management, having interned with St. James’s Place during her studies. Ally graduated with a degree in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham.

Claude Cochin De Billy

Claude is a former Chairman of the placement business of Juniper Place and remains a Strategic Advisor. He has an array of extensive relationships with Family Offices and Institutional investors, with a focus on direct private transactions. His career spans Kleinwort (co-head of Private Investment Office), UBS (Global Family Office Group), Deutsche Bank (Head of Wealth Management and Consumer Retail Group) and Bankers Trust (Senior Managing Director). He is a Senior Advisor to Jefferies.
Lead Design Consultant

Matthew Falla

Matt is the former co-founder, CEO and Head of Innovation of Signal Noise that combines the disciplines of information and user experience design to create data-driven content. Signal Noise was acquired by the Economist in 2016 and Matt left the business in March 2020. He has a first class degree in Graphic Design from Central Saint Martins and a Masters in Interactive Design from the Royal College of Art.
Founder, Max Giant Capital

Katherine Tsang

Katherine is the Founder and CEO of Max Giant, a Hong-Kong based hedge fund and private equity firm. Previously she was Chairperson of Greater China for Standard Chartered Bank, where she worked for 22 years. She is a Non‐Executive Director of China CITIC Bank International Limited, a member of the Advisory Council for China of the City of London and an honorary board member of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She was previously a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on China.
